Split Rock Light Station was equipped with a foghorn. The original was an air siren powered by twin gasoline motors. Around WWII they replaced it with a diaphone type foghorn (the type that goes Beee Ooooh !) which powered the compressors with diesel engines. The compressors and engines are no longer there, but the horns on the top of the fog signal building are.
